hi

i'm carl from dronfield near sheffield. i've stumbled accross this amazing forum since having troubles with my newly purchased fabia. all sorted now by the looks of things.

my first car was a 1004 favourite estate GLXIE. that was the bees knees. i'll put some pics up when i can. i loved that car so much. everyone laughed at me when i said i was driving it to italy, but it had no problem driving 700 miles in one day and 300 the next on the autoroutes averaging about 85-90. in fact, i was following my friend's BMW M3 and it was his car that broke down and not mine.

i knew i should have kept it, not so keen on the fabia at the moment, but it might grow on me:thumbup:

 hiya carl, what Fabia have you got? If you fancy a run out on thursday night there is the monthly Turnpike meet (at the Malt Shovel :D) bit of a drive for you but a warm welcome awaits :)

thanks mate. i will consider it, sounds like fun. what is a turnpike meet exactly? it's a 1.4 16v comfort. it's all stock, but drives real nice. it's in for some engine management work at the mo and they've given me a corsa to drive. feel like such a boy racer - i've never driven such a horrible car

cheers

carl
