Hi,

I recently bought a fabia 1.4 16v. it's very nice, but i would not have expected a 2000 reg car to be struggling to start up when my 94 favourite is on the spot every time.

when i turn the key, the motor turns but engine does not start. it takes about 2 minutes of turning the engine before it finally kicks in and then it drives fine (apart from my flickering lights and loss of power steering - thats a different story)

i don't know very much about ignition. do you know whats going on and how i can fix it?

cheers. i've taken it in to get some other stuff sorted out, so hopefully they will pick up on it. just seemed a bit strange because the problem was on and off. we will see...
