Fabia 1.4 MPi 'red i'?

Featured Replies

Hey all

I've been meaning to ask this question for ages , a while ago I saw a Fabia 1.4 MPi with the 'i' in MPi in red , what does this signify? as AFAIK there is only one spec of MPi engine on sale , the 68bhp one that my car has , or is there another?

Doesnt the 16v also have the MPi badge in 75 bhp form?

duno maybe red i means 16v and black means 8v?

nope i dont think that red i is 16v, coz 16v already comes in 2 versions, one of them is 16v in black which has 75 HP, and 16v in red 101 HP.. so MPI with red 'i' means somethin else

In mainland Europe there was 2 versions of the 8v 1.4MPI, one with 60BHP, one with 68BHP, so I'm guessing the red 'I' was to distinguish the two.

The 60BHP was Euro 2 and luckily we never saw it,

I have seen MPI's with a red I,

i think there is absolutley nothing in it
