Sticky Seatbelt

Featured Replies

Over the past couple of weeks my seatbelt has started to jam or take a while to roll back, example if I lean forward then sit back in my seat the resulting slack in the belt is not automatically retracted.

This could obviously be catastrophic. I'm guessing a new belt is required, and will try to get it replaced under warranty. Anyone else experienced this?

it has been mentioned before on here , do a search for the threads

my O/S/F belt can be a bit sticky when retracting , its usually down to the position of the belt at the top point , i just move the slide mount slightly and its ok

Spray the webbing with silicone polish and pull it in/out a few times. Has always worked for me.

It usually sticks up due to fluff off your clothes getting dragged back into reel with the belt.

Pull it all the wa out and give it a clean with a damp cloth usually works, failing that pop the b pillar trims off and there is a metal guide bar in there, usually fluffed up aswell.
