Fabia 1.4 Temperature!!

Featured Replies

Hello,

Just been wondering and would like to know if someone else has got a fabia 1.4 16V in here,

My temperature gauge is always in the middle after the car is warm, thats at 90 degrees, never seen it go beyond that since I got the car, but the other day I opened the bonnet and noticed that the smaller radiator fan is a bit loose and therefore it never works, so this kinda got me worried over the temperature which is always in the middle, Im gettin it replaced soon, but the question is, what's the idea temperature for a Fabia 1.4 16V? temperature outside in Dubai is usually around 40's, now in winter its around 30's in the afternoon...

Thanks alot...

I don't know if it's much help to you but I used to drive 1.4 16v 75 HP hatchback, spent 2 weeks in Toscany (Italy) and Croatia - it was a pretty hot summer, driving uphills, the temp was 90 degrees all the time. now got the estate 1.4 16v and the temp is always 90 degrees...right in the middle of the scale:) I think if it's around 90 (+/- 5 deg) there is nothing to worry about. get the radiator fan replaced though asap as it may get worse.

Oh I see, i think that helps alot, thank You so much, I appreciate it, I'm gettin it replaced next week, which is a hell of an awful job coz you have to remove lots of things to get it done! probably will need removing the front bumper too...

Isnt the smaller of the 2 fans used for the aircon , not the cooling system?

Temperature gauge will show 90 degrees when engine temperature is between 75-110 degrees, electronically controlled... (not quite 100% sure about that temperature range, but its close to those numbers).

The smaller fan is used for the Aircon thats true, but it doesnt even work when the aircon is working and the Aircon is still cold enough..
