Parrot bluetooth kit in Octy 2

Featured Replies

Just had a Parrot 3000 bluetooth handsfree kit fitted to my 56 plate Octavia 2 Vrs and it works a treat. There is one problem in that the adaptor wiring I bought for this kit seems to supply a permanent on feed to the ignition feed of the kit so its always on at the minute. Parrot suggested swapping the permanent and ignition feed but that made no difference. Where can I find the nearest igniton switched feed to tap in to?

Cheers

Brian

The Octy II uses CANBUS to switch the power which in laymans terms means you don't have a switched live at the Quadlock Connector.

There is a switched supply on the back of the Climatronic but to be honest you are better going direct from the fuse box using the fuseway marked for the phone.

I have posted instructions for this some time ago.

Stu is right on this (as he usually is   . I have a parrot 3100 and took the feed from the fuse box and mounjted the parrot control box near the fuse box on an ally support / subframe

I fitted a Parrot kit to my new Octy a couple of months ago. Easiest place to get a switched live feed is from the phone connector in the fusebox.
