Ha.

Two years to the day after the Rs went back, a new one arrives on the drive!

:)

All in all i've had a miserable experience driving a B*W which I tried to send back after one day.

This heap cost over twice wot the first Rs cost and has been half the fun.

During the last two years I've had the "pleasure" of driving lots of courtesy cars none of which matched up to the Rs. I test drove plenty of stuff including a Mazda mps 260 bhp but still no match.

i must admit to being nervous though - just got a nagging feeling it's going to get nicked. I think if i put a flashing neon sign on top of the BM (oops given it away now) and left the keys in , nobody would've been dumb enough to steal it.

Do the looks of the new Rs grow on you? Still prefer the old one.

It definately grows on you the more time you spend with it. Despite some minor critiscm's, it is a better car than the MkI in just about every department, I love mine to bits

Enjoy your new car and check out some of the 'optional' performance bit's that might be worth investigating a little later on :)

What Beemer did you have? Hope you enjoy the new toy anyway :D :drivesaf:

Steve

I love mine, it like most cars has one or two little niggles but overall I'm very pleased.

Absolutely. Especially with the Sport pack. My mate's a dyed in the wool BMaholic and point blank refused to believe it, until I took him for a spin!

The grab handle near the drivers door is made out of hard plastic. i once went over a speed hump and nearly knocked myself out. Wouldn't fancy doing an offroading in it.

Saying that I've had use of What Cars "Car of the Year" ie the new 3 series and it didn't have a sport pack and you could tell !
