I've lost my lost turbo...

Featured Replies

 I've lost my turbo on my Octavia. It's a 2000 reg 1.9td slx estate and recently I've got a big power shortage. I struggle to get to 75 (80 in a tailwind down-hill!), and waswondering if anyone can help me. I've had it suggested to me that it could be my air management unit, but I don't want to go and pay if it's the wrong thing.

Any help to restore some oommph! back into my car would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Mike

Try looking at the intercooler pipes the could be split

Would say that the first port of call would be a VAGCOM diagnosis to see if any fault codes have been logged. I had the same problem about a month ago and a new MAF sensor solved the problem. May be worth checking the VNT actuator on the turbo to see if the vanes are sticking.
