At last the used values have broken through the magic

So you're still wanting to change from the Fiat?

Well a few weeks time its up for its ticket as stated before if it passes then its effectively 12 months free motoring so clearly then that would mean no requirement to change.

A big put off is the stutter - apparently its around 1,700rpm.... thats pretty much 6th gear a/b road driving this would be very annoying. I have no such issue currently.

Stutter won't affect used cars in your price range :D It was only the relatively new Euro IV ones

Are you sure the vRS isn't the one with C damage that was around some time ago ?

Either that or the guy is just mental.

Sometimes people need cash quickly so even selling it at a loss may mean overall they are better off.

Too cheap - must be something wrong with it. Advert says nothing about condition or service history. Either that or it's bargain!

Sounds cheap , Ive seen Octavia vRS for sale @

deffo something suspect with that car at that price.

a dealer would give you more for it that that.

I paid under £6k for cash back in June for my vRS :)

Stutter only occurs when you lift off the power then re-apply it is not a constant juddering at 1700 rpm, its iirc just an effect caused by a valve opening/closing to conform to emissions, and once its open or closed the stutter is gone. I only notice the stutter if I re-apply the throttle on this point and not when accelerating through it, so foot down at 1500 rpm no stutter through rev band let revs drop from say 2k then foot down at 1700 then very slight blip (stutter) then ok. I honestly don't find it a problem. hth

where from ????

Private sale. 54 plate with 55k on the clock.

Thats a good buy you got!

I knew the seller was considering selling so I got the feelers out to let him know the cash was there!

I'd spent a while on here and AT searching for others but all were just outside my price range at the time.

It's a massive problem if you want to use the cruise control as the 'wrong' driving technique you mention above is exactly what the cruise control will do on a moderately hilly stretch of road:(

Exactly with cruise or on a roads following traffic the revs in 6th gear would be right in that zone.
