Ipod importing songs

Featured Replies

When I import songs from cd to my ipod. some songs have glitches in them, why and how can I stop this?

Can you define "glitches" a bit better? Do you mean like a digital version of an old vinyl record and the arm being pushed along resulting in a "noise" of music?

If so, then when the CDs are "ripped" (copied from cd to hard drive), there are inaccuracies which produce in the resulting blips.

You can try another CD ripping program. CDEX is very good, free, as well as EAC - Exact Audio Copy

Its like the music is jumping like an old record. Some albums are fine and some are not. It means I have to check each song and redo it if its not right.

In the itunes preferences, advanced, importing try turning on error correction see if that helps. :)

Cheers Ill try that.

If that doesnt work, the problem will be with your CD or DVD drive. Depending on age some drives have problems ripping the data digitally across the IDE bus.

Try importing the songs using Windows Media Player into mp3 format, then transfere them to your Ipod. It could be the CD drive having problems with Itunes.
