Today I have been mostly driving

The lesser Skoda RS in delightful yellow.

Bread and butter stuff to many on here I know, but I don't get behind the wheel of one very often. Big smile on my face all the way to work, although that was partly the in my face yellow wing mirrors.

The last Fabby I drove was a 1.2 64bhp which was an absolute hoot in a nut-revving will-it-make-it kind of way. The RS however just does everything you ask of it without any fuss. Swift in the twisties and nippy through town. And all at an MPG that would make my Passat TDI weep into its diesel.

It's still a great little car. Hopefully the next version will be just as good

Were you test driving it with a view to changing then?

Kind of vaguely-ish. The Octy's coming up for 5 years and needing money spent. Fabia would be much cheaper to run and insure - but cost to change is a bit too much at the mo. May see what happens with the run-out limited edition, but may just fettle the Octy and run it a couple more years.
