Your model is the same shape bumper as mine methinks, and has the squarer fog lights, later models have the round ones. Otherwise I do think that either bumper will fit - even a VRs one :D

Do post some pics if you do go down the VRs bumper route

Thanks

I have no foglights on my bumper though so one less thing to worry about.

I was tempted to go VRS route, but i think atm, im gonna look around scrap yards etc, want to do it as cheap as possible.

Right PITA too, the side is quite badly scratched off the damn bushes too, and the mirror has been damaged, so i need a new mirror and repair quite a lot of paintwork, which is the main concern atm. Guy across the road who owns a body shop is gonna give me a hand with the repair, and he said its minor.. looks fairly serious to me though :o

Was trying to turn right, car kept going straight, all i could do was brake and think "oh f***" :(

Least no-one else was involved or hurt though.

iirc the actuall bumber part can be seperated from the fog light assembly, so you should be able to use any bumper

Any bumper (excluding vRS) that is pre 2005 facelift ie NOT the round foglight ones , will fit straight on to your car.

hi. ive just changed my standard elegance bumpers for vrs ones. my car looks great. i bought both bumpers from ebay. rear costing 42quid including postage. front costing only 10quid but i had to pick up. but i did have to buy fog lights, grills etc. costing 95quid all in. ive also changed the door handles and trim to body colour. car looks absolutely stunning. im quite new to this forum and i dont know how to post pics. can anyone help. thANKS

Hi and welcome to the forum. To post a pic on here you first must upload it to an internet host site such as Photobucket or Sony Image station. Once you have done that and the pics are in your online album , right click on the pic to bring up the 'properties' of the pic , find the 'image url' and copy this , then come back onto the forum and using the image button (it looks like a sun between 2 green hills , 2nd last button above the post reply box) paste the url in the space provided (you may have to delete the 'HTTP://' that appears when this box opens on your screen , as this should be in the url of your pic allready), this will automatically post the pic onto your reply.

There's often a lot of classic spec fabia bumpers on Ebay. :)
