Sounds very reasonable. MOT is on the expensive side, you may find cheaper independant.

What happened to "inflation under 3%" then? Due to time of changing cars and timing of MoTs etc, I've not had one done since Sept 05.

No doubt it's to pay for the wonderful new computerised system and all the advantages it brings us.

Had the mondeo MOT'd week before last, just before I sold it. Cost was £40 at my local tyre place.
