Temperature gauge

Featured Replies

just out of interest really but has any body managed to get the temperature gauge to go over the 90 mark on the dash?

obviously without a major fault like the fan not working or running it without any water in. before you lot start!!! :P

Strange but good question  Ive never seen one go up, apart from once when we were going to devon on holiday - I think we were in an Astra and it was seriously hot and the traffic was at a standstill. :o

nope. never got above 90. quite like that. just wish it got there a bit quicker...

Not so far, but it's very rare for me to sit with the engine idling for any length of time, particularly in Summer.

I don't think I have in my Octavia as I didn't have it in the height of summer. I've seen it rise up in cars I have owned in the past loats of times in traffic but it's always come back down once the fan has kicked in. I really want to fit an oil temperature gauge to see what a bit of enthusiastic driving does to that!

Yes, well over (100+) warning sounding and had to stop. impellor fell off water pump and its quite common I am told. replaced with pump with steel vanes instead of plastic.
