Knocking When Going Over Bumps

Featured Replies

I ve seen knocking when going over bumps - Driving to Manchester from Milton Keynes with slightly under inflated tyres and five people in the car didnt help and that is what caused it.

I rememeber this is a common issue with the Fabia's - Its a 1.4 MPI 2000.

WHat is the part caled - I think it is a something rod...

do you mean the bar that links the anti-roll bar to the suspension??

i've heard them called many things, but i normally call them drop links.

Yes - Where can you get them from ?

And how long do they take to install?

Cheers

i bought a pair from my local motor factors for £25, but you may pay a bit more for them because i get trade discount.....

simple 10 miniute job.... iirc you need a T30 torx driver and a 19mm spanner

If these is kncoking noise, can you replace the drop links, or does the whole roll bar need to get changed?

they can be replaced on thier own..... to change the anti-roll bar you need to unblt the steering rack, then drop the subframe down to get it off... not a five miniute job.....

after all, it might be something else causing it anyway... get it checked out
