Compliments to Star Performance

Featured Replies

Just had my S3 front lower and upper strut braces fitted by jim at star performance the other day and im well chuffed, noticable difference especially when "pushing" the car round corners and the service and quality of workmanship was excellent, cheers guys!

Jim was also telling me about a new company hes using for his remapping software...GIAC USA,said he has it in his leon and is impressed....anyone heard of them as i have a remap in the pipeline and it will be the chaps at star ill be using when the time come.

I believe Regal in Southampton use GIAC. Last time I enquired they only did the petrol stuff, no TDIs :(

GIAC are a very well respected US company and specialise in the VW and Jap market, Jim gave me a demo of the programme switching with the GIAC flashloader

Which can have 6 maps pre loaded and 3 spare buttons for future applications,

Afterwards I took the Leon out and it was a lovely drive, smooth progressive power and plenty of it, the dyno plot replicated the drive exactly, the power curve just kept going as smooth as you like.

The bonus is that the stock ECU has a built in counter for every time the Map is accessed, the GIAC flashloader resets the counter to 0, not that anyone would ever find that function useful ;)

Check here for Audi applications : GIAC - Audi Software

And Here for Skoda: GIAC - Skoda Software

And Stars info here : Star Performance - Tuning.
