cd CHANGER

Featured Replies

small question, i have just brought a panosonic cd changer for my fabia vrs, is there anyway i can fit this my self, if so how do i go about this, is there any wires in the boot or in the cabin that come as standard, or do i have to pay for someone to connect it up to the car and cd player? any info is welcome, thanks very much. benny

The changer, when factory fitted, goes under the passenger seat with the cubby hole located to the driver's side instead.

The loom is not fitted in the car unless the changer is ordered at factory build time.

It can, however, be retrofitted as I got mine done by Huets (local car radio place) via my dealer when I changed to my current vRS - took the changer out from the old vRS and they moved the cubby hole to the drivers side and fitted a loom for it. There are two looms types though apparently and one of 'em doesn't work very well, making ticking noise on the audio. So they had to do it again

You can easily mount a CD changer in the boot - it's quite easy to attach it to the back of the rear seats with some self tapping screws.

Assuming you still have the Symphony head unit, you will need to find an adaptor which will connect this to the CD changer. This needs to be plugged into the back of the unit so you will need to take the stereo out too (make sure you have its code).

I can't find an adaptor for a Panasonic unit -

This changer comes with one Sony ASKS001 Skoda CD Changer Package
