Got my octy vrs mk1 on friday just gone - was shown how to load it up but unit wont take cd cartridge automatically - did on first try but not on second - anyone know what to do?

Also when going over bumps tinny rattle coming from air vents i think - what's this.

Mine didn't work for a bit when I picked my car up. It seems that the valitor had got carried away and the area directly underneath the changer actially had a little puddle in it. I removed the changer and put it in the house of a week and removed the puddle. Re-fitted it about a week later and it worked!

Might be worth a try.

I have just replaced my changer for a Sony one to match my shiny new Sony HU with Bluetooth and stuff. I could part with it for a small fee (mostly P&P) if you find it wont work any more.

Do you mean it shows up "chk magazine" on the head unit and the changer constantly makes motor noises?

Mine did that, it could take 20 goes before it accepted the magazine. The dealer ended up having to give me a new Symphony head unit, oddly.

Well the posts are up, incase anyone else searches for the problem. Its always the simplest of things that get us most confused.

If you do ever get chk magazine, just run a cleaning CD through it too

it's a pile of rubbish anyway...
