How much for a full tank?

Featured Replies

Could anyone tell me how much it costs to fill a 1.4 16v Comfort to the brim?

Put 30 quid in earlier and stopped (didn't go to the pump click) - but the guage went to the full line - then I did 270 miles today and the gauge is reading half way between the last full quarter of a tank and the line, with a quarter or so to go on the other side of the line before kicking into the reserve?!!

I'm hoping to god that that the tank takes about 40 quid and that on full ,I've another 150 miles or so to go - otherwise I have a problem right?

Car's booked into the Skoda garage tomorrow, due to running rough at idle, kind of as if it is not getting enough revv's - wonder if the two could be linked?

Any ideas?

Fuel tank is 45l...........

but it will take more by releasing the air with the nipple on the R/H/S of the filler neck

my current record is 53.37 litres :D

Please can you expand?

How do you get 54 litres in the car and is it safe to do so?

Cheers

I used to have one and, depending on price of petrol, it took about

I have only been able to add 33 pounds of fuel before if the car was pretty much completely dry ...

Would be useful to add more if possible

But you probably don't wanna do that with a petrol car :P

Go to a more expensive garage and you'll add over

I filled my furbie up to the brim from empty for the first time on saturday.

I put in

Any reason you use SUL99 - I wasn't aware the car performed better on that compared to the cheaper stuff, although I could well be wrong as I drive a derv version :o

I just thought well it should give a better burn so more mpg and slight increase in performace not that a 1.4i is fast.

It may do - I've had cars that were optimal only with SUL and would run ok but with less fuel economy/power on the cheap stuff - unfortunately I don't know whether the 1.4 16V benefits. Worth checking though :)

just put in 51.65 litres of diesel tonight , £45.92 , pump clicked off/timed out ,so was unable to fill to brill, but very near to

I find that if i use the air nipple method, i can add 10L without problems.

I also have a 1.4 16v petrol furby. Red region to full tank is about £35 quid (@ 92.9p per litre) and if you don your grandad cap & slippers you can get about 380 miles out of it, equating to 45 mpg real world figures.

Dont use the nipple technique with petrol cars though!
