Hi - I am awaiting delivery of my Octavia Elegance estate sometime in March (far too long!!) and am wondering which radio is fitted as standard. I know there is a 6CD changer, but is it in the boot or on the HU on the newest Octavias?

6 CD changer in the boot and a stream with MP3/CD support in the head unit only.

If you specified the "jumbo" box you will also get a 3.5mm AUX IN jack to plug an MP3 player etc into.

Previously you could specify an Audience sound system which was 6 disc MP3/CD in the head unit, however this is no longer an option.

Excuse me, but I believe the jumbo box is standard on the Elegance, as is the excellent variable floor in the boot. Mine certainly has both.

Yes the Jumbo box is standard on the UK Elegance, but the floor thing is as DR Z stated only standard on estates.

Either way you still end up with a stream mp3 head unit and a 6 disc changer in the boot.

Thanks everyone for your replies - you have confirmed my suspicion that the CD changer is in the boot! Since I shall have the jack-in-the-Jumbo-box (!) I think I need to investigate the possibilities of an iPod!! Eleanor

Argh! Noooooooooo! :eek: Please get a Creative Zen NOT an iPod - they are much better, particularly with battery life.

I had a look in the boot of a new Octy yesterday and the 6 disc CD stack sits in a rack with slots for two more similar units.

As I intend to use just single CDs, CDs with around 100-120 mp3 tracks burnt on, or a Creative Zen connected in via the jumbo; I think I might just take out the 6 disc CD and its rack and then have more storage space in the boot!

Meeh I prefer the iPod to the Zen myself, each to their own, but you can get iPod bits anywhere in the world.
