good price?

Featured Replies

im lookin at a vrs in black with 7k and 1 owner 55plate. is

I paid £9600 for a Dec 55, 7k, 1 owner car in red when it was 10 months old, but I think that was a very good price.

Is that price from a Skoda main dealer, private or other? If it's a skoda main dealer then yeah that's a good price, otherwise I wouldn't want to be spending any more than 10k....taking into account the desirability of black and silver paint.

yeah its a main dealer. im gona try and knock em down a bit

You should, you can get a brand spanking new one ('07 in a month) for just under £1000 more...!

You'll get an unregistered 07 Black VRS from Motorpoint for 11k. Or a 56 plate o7 model with 800 miles on it for 10.6k. Sounds expensive to me.

Think Motorpoint ones are imports (The last lot I phoned up about were), if this is the case they might only have two year warranty.

Motorhouse 2000 have several 55 plate and newer for less than

the dealer rang me today and agreed to my terms, so pending a test drive in an hour or so ill hav it.

I hav to consider the cost of travelling to and from these garages and im also i need a px so cant buy private unfortunately

Could have had my 05 a fortnight ago for 9k. :(

Go to drive the deal and you can get a new one for 11.5k, then speak to a few dealers and i managed to get one to beat that price :)

That was a UK car not an import in a non flat colour.

I know what I'd be doing and it isn't the used car.

i was gona do that but coz i lost so much on my car (didnt plan on a px) i went for the 55 plate to save sum pennies.

plus i dont get a stutter this way

yeah, the cheshire oaks one. where bouts u based mate shud meet up and talk vrs.

I picked the car up friday and im made up with it. i love it to bits, just not sure if i should mod and if i do which insurance company to use

You used to be on the ZSOC forums if I remember rightly mate. God, that was some time ago. I'm from Moreton. I'm on my 2nd Fabia with a Fiesta ST in between with Focus TDCi Sport and a Fiesta Zetec-S before that...

  • Author

yeah thats right. i remember u now actually.

I went from the zs to a racing puma to a focus st170 and now the vrs.

Well it may not handle as well as your previous three but the build quality is better, the dealer is much better than anything any Ford dealer can offer, it has better fuel economy, the ride quality with the car is better and it's got much more brutal strength for overtaking. I'm not interested in outright handling any more. I do too many miles to be having my teeth shaken out and as I do so many miles that I need decent economy and a good turn of speed. The Fabia gives me all that and a lot more, that's why I went back to one after the Fiesta ST. I should never have changed...

my dad had the fez st and got rid becoz of the fuel bills. the st170 was the worst for me as i was only gettin 25mpg and it was killin me on insurance too.

But im made up with the vrs so far. happy motoring
