Newbie here. Superb Bulb Failures (weekly)

Featured Replies

Hi to you all and thanks for reading this post. I think I am doing this right and trust that someone will tell me if I am not! I have searched but not been able to find anything on my problem. I hear you say "well what is the problem"? I run a minicab business in Londan and have about 20 Superbs registered between 2004-2005. Most of the cars have to have new headlight bulbs, not xenon, fitted every 1-2 weeks. Skoda don't admit to a problem. Has anyone had similar problems with their Superbs? Thanks for reading this Kim:thumbup:

Hi Kim

Welcome to Briskoda:thumbup:

There are probably at least 70 Superb owners on here, and I do not recall hearing anyone mention anything similar. The only bulb i have had to replace so far is a number plate bulb (I'm going to regret saying that now!). Sorry.:o

One of the others will probably be along shortly with any additional comments on this.

All the Best

Chris

With the note that I'm not specifically naming names, the only thing that I can think would cause this sort of consumption rate across 20 vehicles is a pikey employee using your fleet as a source of hookey bulbs.

Interesting that you have been lead to believe Skoda know nothing of it. I can assure you that if it's the H7 bulbs then you have been mislead.

In cases of repeated claims concerning halogen headlamp bulbs (H7) failing on the Superb, a resistance cable (Part No. 3U0 941 855 – this part number is for one resistance cable) must be fitted to both front headlamps:
