Fabia Rear Bumper

Featured Replies

I reversed into a plastic bollard wednesday night

Theres no scratches or any thing and the bumper still sits on the car how it always does.

But thought i would take it to a shop just to put my mind at ease, but it didnt.

I didnt tell the bloke in the bodyshop how i did it, because its abit embrassing!!!

But he said the bracket that joins the bumper onto the chasis is bent and will cost

The brackets on the rear panel are pretty rigid, so you must have hit the bollard pretty hard. Can't see these bending from just a small impact.

If its a bumper your after flee bay has many

Personally, I'd try getting another quote, or another 2 quotes.

You're looking at minor bracketry and maybe a bit of underseal. Maybe a bit of what they like to call "manipulation". After that they put your bumper back on. No need to repaint or refinish it etc.

Surely to bend the bracket you would have to do some serious damage to the bumper? I struggle to believe the the bracket is bent but the bumper is unmarked. Have you had the car from new, or could this have been already there?

wouldn't even bother worrying about doing anything about it.

I did the same about six months ago to mine and it shows no sign of any problems e.g whitening or cracking
