Rear seat lock problem

Featured Replies

While trying to get the rear seat down on a Fabia today, I broke the lever for the catch so the seat back will not unlock by it.

I've managed to get the seat down but I cannot see how to get the catch out of the seat to see if I can fix it or if it needs replacing.

Does anyone know how do do it or if it is at all possible?

You need to remove the seat, strip the cover and foam off and you get to the catch through the front as it where.

the lever/handle comes as a one piece plastic fitting about 8" long, I think costs about £4 ish. Its a case of pulling the old one out by brute force, and then just pushing the new one in. If you buy the new one first, you will see how its made to clip in, you don't need to take the seat apart.
