What Injectors do RS have

Featured Replies

Ive been offered some tt 225 injectors, are these the same as the octy rs standard ones or are they bigger anyone know the size, will i get any gain fitting these before the remap, i.e will i be able to chuck more fuel in then the standard injectors can handle,

Also what is the benifit of fitting a 4bar fuel pressure regulator, i.e will it benefit me just running a remap, cheers for your help as usual :)

they are bigger than standard injectors and no good for your turbo, they will over fuel if you are running the standard turbo i believe. get them if you are planning a slightly bigger turbo in future :)

and i wouldn't bother with the 4bar FPR.

get them quick. then when you get your car mapped he can adjust the fuelling so that they dont over fuel on the standard turbo. thats what iam going to do!!!!

I dont think the standard turbo will flow enough air to warrant the larger injectors. If the mixture ends up to rich you will end up bore washing.

I'd say, using 225 injectors and over fueling would make your car run a little rough.

If you can get hold of the 225 injectors, is the turbo also available might be worth wile fitting that too. If it’s possible.

Fitting a K04 turbo is quite a lot of hassle. The question often crops up on SCN.

What needs to be done then?

lots.

from memory you would need:

turbo

manifold

downpipe

boost pipes

injectors

mapping

oil lines

water lines

inlet pipes

possibly airbox and maf

obviously things like gaskets/washers/crush washers

oil

oil filter(as you would have to drain the oil anyway you might aswell do an oil service)

a whole of labour and time, would be a hell of a lot easier with a ramp too.

Yeah, can't remember what else either, but it's quite costly. For the gains, it's very costly, would be better to go for a garrett etc if you were changing the turbo.

i doubt i will go dow that route then

TT injectors will totally screw your engine up if you fit them to a standard K03s equipped engine, the TT /S3 and LCR Map runs a tatally different injector Duty cycle map than your Octy, will possibly run rich, will definately run with severe problems, the AFR ( air Fuel Ratio) will be all over the place and will damage your cat and possibly your turbine wheel on your turbo as the unburnt fuel will ignite in the Turbine housing and damage the turbine vanes.

I am looking into a K04 Conversion at the moment and you WILL need the following ( approx costs)

K04-23 or 020 -
