Odd !

My Impreza Turbo used to have a routine built into the ECU which would reduce the boost by half under certain revs to limit the 'drive by noise'

Yesterday my 4x4 Octavia (after being unused for 3 days) was delivering reduced boost even when it had warmed up. Today it is fine and spurts up the road as Jabba intended.

Its only happened the once -- anyone experienced the same ?

Get VAGcom or the dealer to check for error codes and report back - you could be looking at something a few of us have come across.

Had this happen to me the other week, my car is standard.

Went to my local dealer to see if they could plug their VAG tool in and see if any errors were present. I got told to move by the mechanics so though f**k them...one less customer.

Have not had it checked out yet, but the problem has not surfaced since.

Sounds more like that - its only happened once (so far) but I twigged straight away as there was no whistle on spool up or dump valve noise to speak of (Jabba Bailey).

The one Si mentions happened occasionally before the car was Jabba'd but I think that was more emissions related and hasn't happened since.
