Fabia deal - good value?

Featured Replies

I notice that Skoda are currently selling the Fabia Classic 1.2 with air con, ABS and twin 'bags for

Your Felicia sounds like a good car, do you really need to get rid of it for some air bags and air con? For the sake of £6990, even with the finance offer, is still several thousands you don't need to spend.

It is worth thinking about that there is the new Fabia launch just around the corner, which is no doubt why they are looking to get rid of the older stock.

Other people more mechanincally minded will be able to tell you the reliablity of the 1.2 engine etc.

From what I remember, modern engines are designed to be more fuel economic, so you might save a bit there.

Reading this back, I don't think I was of much use, but just my thoughts.

It is a great car, and a very reasonable deal too...

However, its perhaps worth keeping the Felly until it starts to show its age... ?

Keep the Felicia, hmm? It's a fair point, the car is parked on a grotty brownfield site all day and a ten year old Felly doesn't attract villains. Maybe it's worth keeping until something expensive goes bang?

I have a Felicia estate which is used as a mobile skip, garden waste, house renovation, that kind of thing and that's reliable too. I was thinking of updating one of them but neither have given me any grief so maybe it's boredom rather than need that's got me looking. Thanks for the opinions.

Indeed. I've seen Felicias with over 200k on the clock, so they can be durable, and very cheap motoring indeed. I'd be tempted to keep the Felly for as long as it stays reliable!
