Just a quick hello to say that I am back

Still got the MKI vRS WRC, and not a spot of rust to be seen, still a wicked piece of gear and having lots of fun on the Spanish motorways

Thinking about removing the decals and having them painted on, sun is starting to weather them, any advice?

All the best

Welcome back Gaz

Painting the decals can be quite expensive I imagine. Pretty sure that you can still buy the decal kits from Skoda, but if they don't, maybe you can consider a vehicle wrap? You'd still have the fading vinyl (although they guarantee it for 7 years iirc), but it will be a damn sight cheaper than a respray in several colours...

Hello Gaz.

Take them all off instead

Thanks guys - good to be back.

Taken them off and leaving them off is not an option (not after 5 years), will have to look for a good paint shop and get it priced. I already have a spare set from early days when one small part of the decals fell off, Skoda supplied me with a full set.

Car is still the biz, and I still get a kick taken it out when I am at home (Spain).

Manny/Quiten - good to hear from you again. thought you may have grown up and moved on.

You winding me up - it's now a classic.

Did, once think about trading it in, but could not find anything that I like or would compare to it (fun factor).

and trade in price was real silly. Nah will keep it just now, Spanish weather is good for it, no rust. I only have to clean out the air filter once a week.

GAZ...

But thanks for the offer. (I would like to find out who has 1/100 or even 100/100)

Gaz, no still around and back in skoda ownership after a short break.

That looks very good indeed

Did you machine polish it after removing them?

Decals were removed years ago after damage. Then car repainted. We purchased the car last week and I've spent all week cleaning and polishing. Still loads of hours needed to correct and refine the paint.
