I have just become a member of Briskoda, I am currently riding a clasic Honda NC Express.

I hope when im 17 I can buy a Skoda Fabia.....

I like the look of them and my friend has a Skoda Fabia VRS, which is great!!!!!!

Does any one know where I can find one for a low price (

depends how old you want it and what engine! but you have to make sure you keep it as clean as your friends!

welcome!

I think by the term "Friend" You either mean moi or carnival clown :D

I have no idea?!? :D

If you are aiming for the £1K to £2k bracket I would seriously consider getting a very good condition Felicia on a late spec for that kinda money. The save up and get a Fabia after you have some driving experience.

Not only will the insurance be cheaper to start with a Fabia worth £1k is liable to need alot of work and could end up costing you alot more. General rule of thumb with cars is the last of a particular model are the best ones to go for. Usually all the bugs are worked out and they have a better spec as they chuck things on to sell them before they get replaced.

I managed to get a 11,000 mile Edition 100 Felicia 1.3 very cheap (ok i worked at a Skoda dealer) but I sold it for £700 and for that money it was a steal, still drove like new and insurance was cheap as chips. Also never seemed to use petrol, almost run on air.

Tnaks for the advice. I think that would be a good idea, as I have not got much money, if i needed to fix a Fabia any way. Think you guys could keep your eyes out for a cheap Skoda. thanks

Wow this brings back memories, thought I would fill you all in on my history since I joined Briskoda

I was going to go down the car route, well I could not afford a Skoda or any car for that matter. Plus lessons were expensive too !!!!!!

But I got a bike instead :) Passed my test first time - only 5 Minors

So I got myself a nice 08 plate Suzuki SV 650, goes a bit quicker than the 1.2 that Miss Piggy was on about, and Im still only 17, Insurance is just under a grand, so Im pretty happy with the outcome. I may get round to doing my car test this summer - but to be fair Im having loads of fun on the bike, especially when it comes to big build up of traffic as many bikers would know ;) Weather does not bother me as I have all the right gear

well nice to read this tread again

and best luck to all new Briskoda members

Take it easy

Welcome :)
