Dash Pod Cracks

Featured Replies

Has anybody else experienced cracks in the piece of plastic that covers the dash instruments, at the bottom where it joins?

If so what was done to fix it by the dealers.

Thanks

It will need a new dash insert.

Not been out has it? Many dont realise there are two release clips at the top that need a special tool to open them up so the insert will slide out. If you try to lever it without releasing the clips the front breaks.

I know, its how I found the clips....lol

Nope the car is only a few months old.

The cracks are just tiny things in the left and in the centre, probably about 1cm long, but look like they are growing. Looks like a set of stress fractures to me :(

Thanks for the info though ross, look slike it's a trip to dealers then.

Would these clips need to be touched during installation of a new Indicator Stalk by any chance?

No mate.

 I have a few creaks from the dash, I mentioned to dealer about the Defroster vent issue but they haven't had issues with them. I suppose I really need this to be changed out to see if its the fix.
