That happened over the period of time I've had it. It's stainless steel from the factory, and over time the end just got 'burny yellow' or somethin'...and it looks really cool

That aside, it's been a while since I got my grilles painted black magic, and I don't think I've posted a picture of it online (last image thread had the old pics), so here ya go, this is what it looks like.

She'll be 4 years old in a little over a week....can't believe it!

I like that grille, Mil, much better than the "gaping mouthed" ones imho

Are the headlamp lenses tinted?

Was just about to ask the same about the headlamps - certainly look a bit darker than normal

The tailpipe looks like it's tarnished due to heat. It looks dirty to me & TBH it sticks out too much for my liking.

The colour coded grille looks fab & I don't mind the lower grilles either.

I did the gaping mouth purely for performance reasons, not to make the car pretty. Plus I think with the colour coded surround, my gaping mouth isn't too bad.

No, they used to be tinted dude. These are headlamps you can't get on right hand drive models because of some reason Ross laid out regarding light dispersion or something. The lights I have come with the new MK1 1.4MPi Fabias only and have black bevels lining them inside, thus being darker than the usual boring headlights.

Well you can fit the headlamps on RHD, but you won't pass the MOT... how long would it take to swap the lights over?

That's because it's sand blasted instead!!

Joff, I din't swap them over myself, but it takes a while because they need to remove the bumper to do it.
