Im devastated my vRS wont be ready until the 31st march now as apparantley they cant find a Race Blue one!!!!:( But i will now get a Maxidot  so every cloud does have a silver lining. Know the feeling, waiting for my vRS,

Know the feeling as well, waiting for my vRS through lease company who wont licence in last 3 weeks before plate change. I have waited since mid November the car is ready but sitting at the garage and cant pick up till 1st march.

:( :( :(

Same thing here.I ordered my RS on the 21st of November and I'm picking it up next week. Can't wait

Mater,

Sorry to hear about that. I got told the end of March for mine.

That's a bloody nightmare....waiting since November still it is nice to be picking it up soon. I really wanted to get mine on the 1st of march. I remember my Dad and me picking up his White R reg Saab 95 on the 1st of August 1976. I remember how excited I was and I was hoping to try and get the same kind of feeling for my first new car.

I must be lucky, walked into my dealer early this week and now ordered the one on display in the showroom (Octavia vRS TDi)! I didn't realise how much hassle other people were having! Will be ready on 01st March.

Well I've just ordered mine about 2 weeks ago I was told mine would be March. How come I dont have to wait that long? Hope its before the end of March. I was told they would contact me 2-3 weeks after I put my order in to find a exact date.

hi jonnie5

The reason i have to wait so long is because they cant find a car to the spec i ordered in Race Blue. I could of had a black one on the 5th of march but i dont want black. As Lee Evans once said "I'll have it blue" as its my fave colour. That way my car can be nicknamed the Blue Bullitt:thumbup: But like i said some things in life are worth the wait:thumbup:

Are you buying new or used. I would of thought if you were buying new that the times would be the same for any spec car.:)

It depends on wheter they have one in your requested Spec in the Dealer Network or whether they have to build new.

If my Spec is laying around once the order is finally processed, i could have to wait just a couple of weeks, if ones isn't about, then i have to wait for one to be built...

Jonnie5. Im buying new.

The reason i gotta wait so long is because i want a Race Blue vRS with a Maxi-Dot and nowt else added. I could of had a Black one but i prefer it in blue and because Race Blue is a vRS colour only it means the Residual Value will be greater later on if i come to sell the car on (only for a new vRS or Mitsubishi EVO:thumbup: ). I know it wont be much (Around

Yeah it would be a jump but an EVO FQ-360 in midnight blue pearl metallic is my dream car. I used to drive the EVO 6 for work a few years back and that car embaressed porches, ferraris and lambos and it only had 320bhp. I could have an FQ-360 now cos id save a fortune on it as i get my cars tax free and i get tax free fuel. However the bank manager indoors thinks its a boy racer car (never seen a boy racer with a

I wonder if you could put the 4.2V8 from an RS4 into an octavia after all they share the same floorplan etc. Imagine how fast that would be!!

Your just getting silly now:P :D

Don't give Lummox any ideas :D

Just to get it slightly back on topic ;), I have now ordered a race blue vrs fsi, with all the trimmings (18's, jumbo box, xenons, curtain air bags, active headrests etc etc!) . As it is definitely a factory order looks like it could be a long while before I get it.:thumbdwn:

When I ordered it the salesman was muttering something about a week 14 build at the earliest! So long long wait ahead.

Next week is week Nine apparently.

Been told yesterday mine will be towards the end of March boooooo:(

Is that a factory order, or is the dealer "finding" one.
