Water collecting in doors?

Featured Replies

I see quite a few posts about water leaking *into* Fabias, but my 2004 vRS has a slightly different problem.

Whenever it rains a fair bit, the water seeps into the doors but the drain holes appear to be blocked by the rubber door seals. So when I open either front door, water streams out (for 10 or 20 seconds).

While I am happy the water isn't leaking inside (AFAIK) it can't be doing the door any good to have water sitting in it. I don't drive the car every day and if I'm away it could be sitting there like that for a week.

Anyone else seen this and/or solved the problem? I hesitate to drill additional holes as that will open up unprotected metal edges.

It's still under warranty for another month mate (mine's also an 04). Take it in.

The seal doesn't sound like it's on right or one of the other holes is blocked with paint etc.
