ESP...blinkin' marvellous!

Featured Replies

last night, out for a 'spirited' drive in the passenger seat of ian's ( tavia 4x4 ) octy estate with colinD following in his.

firstly, great fun, thanks ian!

secondly, i am VERY impressed by the balance and poise of a hard driven, standard suspension set-up, octy 4x4. ok, it is higher than the rs but the handling balance was great. seriously, for anyone considering an estate, it's bloody good value and a very entertaining drive.

ok, this one has 222bhp and non-standard pads and fluid, but nonetheless, i was seriously impressed.

thirdly and the whole point of this post is that, on a particular corner, entering at a reasonable (!) speed, the car's ESP was activated and i was utterly flabbergasted at how there was a bit of wheel braking and the car pulled itself into line, no fuss or drama. ian and colin will confirm that, after this, i was grinning like an idiot!! all cars should have this!

great drive in all :D

:D

If you ever need to borrow an estate, just ask!
