Pollen filter - Fabia

Featured Replies

Just pulled it out. What colour is a new one? This is dark gray with bits of leaves. Also, just found the "secret" compartment under the false bottom of the glovebox - thought this was a gag but it really is there!

Well the regular one I think should be white when new and the posh one (pollen and odour filter) is charcoal.

Have you found the secert compartment under the passengers seat? :D (will be on the drivers side if you have a CD changer)

Oddly, all I found under the seat was a kitchen timer shaped like a lemon.

I found a plastic King Kong and a set of colouring pencils in the arm rest of a MK5 Golf today (having a used car check prior to going on the forecourt)

:D i found 2 biros and 20p in an ST 220 Mondeo :(

New pollen filter should be WHITE; I change mine every 10,000 miles, a lot soon than the servicing schedule, driving into London it gets black very quickly.

Which one is the new one  :P

The one on the left :P Actually, the swap pictured above was done around 40,000k ago. Might be time for a new one now I suspect - Good excuse to check out my new local Skoda dealership that's opened nearby. :D

There's a slot underneath and behind the glovebox. You pull apart a couple of bits and the frame containing the filter drops out downwards. I've not done mine for so long I can't remember exactly what it looks like. :)

Think i'll give mine a check then this next day or so as i'm only 30 or 40 miles off the 10,000 mark.

Is the charcoal filter for the furby??? or is it meant for one of the other models??? Just want to be sure what to ask for when i get one.

Cheers

Dave.

just fitted new filter, man a trees worth of leaves fell out with as well all over the place.

I've checked mine today and it doesn't look too bad at the moment..... Another 6 months and it might be a different story!!! I think i'm gonna make it an 'annual' thing and replace it each May which is when i got the car.

Cheers

Dave.
