I currently own a 04 Elegance TDi (130) that I'm paying over

Norwich Union always quotes me extremly p*ssed-off!

Norwich Union have historically been cheap, but in the last year their prices seem to have gone through the roof.

Since coming out of a company car 3 years ago I have had policies with a different company each year....I'm loyal to the cheapest provider.

This year I saved £160 switching from Norwich Union to esure.

Confused.com is good but be aware it does miss out some of the key players.

Confused.com pointed me to eSure, but there was one other insurer called 'local broker' for £261 that I didn't choose because I'd never heard of them!

I've always used direct line as they've always been the cheapest for me. Whenever i've tried norwich union they've 'quoted me miserable' as jeremy clarkson would say. Usually quoting me around twice what i'm already paying. Never going to bother them again. Now paying 350 for my Octy TDi vRS, which i'm happy with.

Chap at work has had endless problems with NU. He got rear-ended and they gave him the choice of using a repair place that Audi don't approve (ie lose his warranty) or lose the courtesy car he paid for.

I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole after that.

I'm looking at buying a new car in the next few months... I'm interested in the Octavia vRS diesel and so I went for a quote, and found it about
