Fabia Vrs Brakes

Featured Replies

Couple of questions.

Firstly does anyone know if i'd be able to buy braided brake lines to work my 312mm front brakes? Any companies and part no's? will it just be the same kit used for the car the brakes originally came off or a standard fabia kit?

Been looking at DHK091 kit from black diamond. (designed for Mk4 Golf v5 4motion)

And Secondly is there a rear brake upgrade. this ones more cosmetic than anything else because the discs look stupidly small behind 5spoke 18" rims:) are the ibiza cupra ones any bigger and would they be a straight swap?

Thanks Again

Scott

Ibiza Cupra ones are the same as the braking is fine at the rear, anything bigger will just corrode up quicker.

The standard lines are internally braided/reinforced so I havent seen any specific upgrades for a standard caliper.

I don't think it's worth it from a performance point of view.

I have 4 pot brembos on mine with DS2500 pads. I have run both 5.1 fluid and super dot 4 and with this combination, have never experienced brake fade or other anomalies, even under heavy consistent braking at track days.

IMHO, the fluid and pads have the biggest room for improvement if you want silly braking. The hoses I find are fine :)
