Featured Replies

hi

ive got a 55 plate (october) 2.0tdi L&K octavia but it didnt come with any of the L&K marked sill protectors. I asked the sales guy after id bought it, he said they are only fitted on the 07 revision but ive had a search through here and seen posts from 2005 mentioning them being fitted.

Can anyone with a 55 plate L&K comment if they have the protectors fitted?

If others do what do you reckon my chances are of getting some from skoda uk rather than paying the

I have a 55 plate 2.0tdi estate L&K (September 2005) and it has the L&K sill protectors (front only), so it was registered before your car.

thanks for the replies both. Think ill give skoda a ring tomorrow as im getting no joy off the dealers. Not sure what theyll say with the car being over a year old but i suppose its worth a try. having said that id still need to buy some so i could get the rear doors sorted for the little feet.

PS, are the front L&K ones like the stainless "ocatvia" ones or are they all plastic?

I'm not sure what the "Octavia" ones are like, but the L&K ones are stainless.

the octavia ones are stainless too. The parts guy said he can get the front L&K protectors for £20 and id then have to get the standard front/back plastic ones at £30. suppose thats £10 cheaper than the £60 "octavia" ones if skoda uk wont provide any.

Result! Got an email from skoda today and they confirmed that the car should have come with sill protectors. theyve given me a code for the dealer to use to get them fitted for free so theyll be done next week when it goes in for my parking sensors to be fixed.

Good result, well done.
