Fabia vrS 30k service,

Featured Replies

Hi, I have my vrS booked in for its 30000 mile service next week. Now they have quoted me

Just the norm @ 30000, tho £110 seems cheap so its prob ex. VAT.

40000 is were it gets a bit more expensive. Looking at 250-300 there...

Buy your own oil (VW 505.01 spec) as this saves you about £25...

Millers stockists do it - Millers XFE PD I think. £24.95 for 5litres, and the stealer would charge about £50...

hth

Dealers don't charge anywhere near £50 for oil!!!

Mine charged me £20 at each service for quantum from a drum. It was cheaper than buying my own.

Dealers don't charge anywhere near

I paid £135 for a 30k service + brake fluid change, providing my own oil.Labour made up £95 of the cost.

They do charge anything upto £50. Well the three main dealers I have used do...

They cant charge £20, as they would be losing money on 5 litres of oil...

Just booked mine in for its 20k service

Mine has just had the 40,000 service and it was £270 all in.

The oil cost £10 per litre.

My 30,000 was £135 all in from the dealer in Canterbury

i too have booked mine in for 20,000 service - £220.20 (no mention of brake fluid change yet)

phoned 3 dealers, all charging similar or higher amounts

Why is a 40k service a lot more expensive than a 30k service?
