IHI tomorrow

Featured Replies

My cars going in tomorrow to Jabbasport for the IHI vf34 stage 3 kit to be plumbed in:D :D :D :D :D

Will post photo's etc. later of the clobber being fitted.

Got to say...there won't be much to see...it looks like standard but definately doesn't drive like it.

If you have black silicone TIP there will be even less to show you've got a big turbo fitted.

Be very interested in how it goes - keep us upto date and best of luck :)

What are the expected gains?

-a long pause and a VERY BIG kick up the ****?

Has anybody tried a sequential dual turbo conversion for reduced lag and monster power?

Gains will be:

330-340bhp all the way to 7000rpm, rather than peaking at 245 bhp from 3000-4000 then dying away to 200 by 7000rpm.

Torque will be about 320 ibs/ft from 3000rpm

Spool up will be as quick as standard turbo due to it being a more efficient roller bearing designed turbo. Power delivery apparently is simply awesome compared to the standard KO3s turbo. I have been told that in the wet I will be getting wheel spin in 4th:eek:

I will have to learn how to drive properly now

nice

Well........

Car is done....well almost!!

Everything is fitted, and a 'soft' map has been done for it. It is only boosting at around 8 psi for now, and once the exhaust has been changed it will have the proper map done.

The exhaust will be done at Milltek (derby), and will be used as a template for all other mk.i vRS Octavia's.....as it will now be either 2.75" or 3". The exhaust will be aimed at Octy drivers with the IHI or other big turbo kits on.

Sterling job as ever by the guys at Jabba

Nice!

I bet that they have some good motors up there

Sounds like another Happy Jabba chappie
