Jabbasport Anti Roll Bar for Fabia - Incompatible with H&R Coilovers :(

Featured Replies

Hi all

Just thought I'd let you all know that the Jabbasport Anti Roll Bar is incompatible with H&R Coilovers.

I bought it off Wardy the other day, tarted it up and painted it black and took it to JBS to have it fitted this morning.

The way the adjustable spring cups are designed means that the thread gets right in the way of where the ARB goes (under where the springs sit).

I called Jabbasport to let them know, just in case they get asked in the future.

Jabbasport and JBS both advised me that many other coilovers don't use the same design as H&R for their adjustable spring cups, so this wouldn't be a problem if I hadn't got the H&R suspension.

I'm gutted... Was very interested in how it'd feel with coilovers, ARB and wide wheels/tyres.

Anyway, just thought I'd let you all know :)

:wrthless:

i'm trying to picture why the ARB wont fit but can't because i haven't seen what the H+R coil overs look like

Does the H+R rear coilover have a coilover body, or is it a standard damper and spring, with the spring on an adjustable platform?

No, the rear isn't actually a coilover, it's got an adjustable spring platform for the spring.

The spring platform is adjusted from underneath the OE spring platform (there's a hole in it that the threaded bit goes through).

It's this threaded bit that gets in the way of where the ARB goes.

Sorry, totally forgot to take photos.

MSPaint? ;)

is there no way of modifying that adjuster platform that sticks out ?

You could probably chop the thread off, but I'm not going to do that.

Good idea though.

Fits fine with KW's and you can stil access the ajusters :)

Would there be any benifit to having two rear ARBs?

double the fun maybe??

i think you would have as much trouble getting the second bar on as Josh had trying to fit it with his H+R shocks

The bar fits fine with FK coilovers. I haven't got that sticky out bit. For info.

Yeah, as I said, I think it's only H&R that use that design for the spring cups.

Sellotape!! Duck tape fixes everthing ;)

Velco's better. Makes it switchable. On or Off

Gutted for you :(

Mind you, I got a swift journey across the hills out of it ;)
