regal tyres

Featured Replies

hi has any one got any regal RD-3100 tyres fitted to there vrs i have just been quoted

I use mine as a driving school car, and you can still get a decent tyre for decent money..... try the avon ZZ3's.... I got these at £60 each fitted, and they are good too...

however, I desperatley need some new fronts, and I should only be keeping the car about another four weeks, so I'm going to have some ultra cheapies put on today, I will be writing a review of how they perform, as I'm going away to Scotland for a week next week... we'll see just how the 'unbranded' cheapies, compair with all the good brands I've tried (F1's p-zero nero's conti's ect)

watch this space ;)

edit: the avons also have a rim protector, so do falkens....

i had a pair on my fabia. couldnt say how good they were as a sold the wheels straight after but what i can tell you is the tyre has a brilliant rim protector on them, suitable for those learner drivers kerbing your wheels.

dude my vRS has gone 72k with learners driving it, and never hit the kerb yet ;) if you care enough, you wont loose your tyres

note: I have the cheap tyres on now (federals

For rim protection, go for Dunlop. They do a protector that must stick out half an inch! I started with Contis, now on Kumho KU31. The Contis had better protection. 60,000 miles and only on kerb touched (on test so I was not there to prevent it).

May go Toyo T1R next as everything else I fit is noisy and I have driven a Toyo shod car that was much quieter.

The Regal looks like a sport 9000 pattern. Let us know how you get on with them.
