New Alpine Ipod dedicated head unit

Featured Replies

Nice looking unit, bit limiting with no CD though. The IVA-D100R does the same thing, the iPod menus onboard are exactly as those on the iPod. Plus it's touch screen too which is handy ;)

Hang on, isn't that some dvd screen job?

If it isn't Ipod Full speed, you are totally wasting your money. This dedicated unit is a million light years better if you don't need CD.

Why do you need a CD if you have an Ipod? I have Ipod/MP3 integration in both my cars and never now bother with CD's. OK, it doesn't sound quite as good as CD, but if I want to listen to something decent, I just switch on my LP12.

It is FS but thats not why I bought the unit, the problem with just an iPod is that you can't just grab a new disc and stick it in. If you buy a new CD when you're out shopping you can't just bang it in etc.

The D100 also does MP3 DVD's so I only have to carry a handful of DVD's to have an entire collection available :)

Thats one hell of an AV system you have in the car if you've got that beauty fitted ;)

lol - the LP12 is at home!

Don't really ever buy cd's in shops now tbh & i have pushing 10,000 tracks in Itunes. So, I guess each to his own!

Cheers,

Jez

LOL yeah guessed that. Wouldn't be much use in the car ;)

Nah I don't usually but the little un always wants some random CD [or DVD] for the trip home :)
