Newish vRS owner

Hi all - the B in BJM = Bob.

Was looking for a car after losing my company car through redundancy, took the wife out and test drove a few and we sort of decided on a Skoda, and went and drove a couple of those.

She fell in love with the standard of trim in the vRS, and the fact that unlike the previous mid-range underpowered understeering reps puddings I'd had for years it didn't wallow round bends etc. (She doesn't drive, but like all passengers is an expert)

Both I, and the salesman, kept very quiet about the "technical" aspects of a vRS. ;)

For a month I controlled my right foot when she was in the car, until on Boxing Day returning from London, when I gradually opened it up. When she glanced at the speedo on a long, straight, empty M'way standard dual carriageway she suddenly worked out that we were doing around twice the legal speed limit. Following a short high pitched scream and an extended shouting session, I demonstrated to her that the brakes were matched to the rest of the vehicle.

Still, for the first time in 20 years she helps me clean it, and calls it "our" car instead of "your" car.

does she drive? 'cos if not, she will soon be learning;)

Welcome.

I'm sure all of your speed tests are carried out on private roads aren't they ;)

Welcome to Briskoda

Glad you've a "real" vRS. :):):)
