central lockin on fabia classic

Featured Replies

Hi there, Damien from dublin here hoping some one can help me with a problem i am having with a lovely little fabia i have. when i turn the key, nothing happens to the locks. I can hear the other locks making noise but nothing happens. I have changed the drivers door lock ( from a breaker) and put on computer at local dealer but no fault codes are present. checked the loom and connections at the door piller. Dealer maintains the door lock i got is from an ambinate and this is different. any clues please.

How peculiar. If the new drivers door lock isn't from a model with central locking then it ain't going to work :P

Welcome to the forum, I hope someone can help!

hi. and welcome 2 the site. sorry i cant help, you b better posting on ask a tech or fabia section. :D

Is the control solonoid in the driver's door working? Not that sure on the key-activated system (only ever used the remote on my Octy), bit on my previous cars the key-activated locking triggered off both front doors, so try with the passenger door and see what happens.

Howya  , sorry about troubles you have.

I sent you a PM:)
