The little thing that sits between the gearbox and the engine seems to be buggered!

I had a new clutch fitted yesterday and this came out chewed like a dog with a wasp!

Now the car wont start! Dose anyone have a spare one or knnow the part number / price for one?

I am stuck with no car until its fixed and therefore getting to work is an issue!

Have you tried your local Skoda dealer?

Sounds like they didnt remove it prior to taking the box out. The end of the sensor then gets caught on the flywheel.

Skoda dealer wil be able to get one, iirc less than £30.

I have replaced this sensor with a new one on a 2005 Octavia TDi and the car still wont start. Can someone tell me what is the correct position for lining up the sensor. Should it be positioned at top dead centre?

Any advice greatly received. This will be my 7th time taking this box out :(

If you're talking about the Felicia, there's no adjustment to be made, you just put it in place and that's it. If you've taken the flywheel off, then that's a different matter.

And I agree with what's above - if it looks chewed up, they tried taking the box out without removing it and the starter ring gear has mullered it when they've tried hoofing it off. They should pay for the replacement.
