Mudflaps octy vrs tdi

Featured Replies

Hi all, does anyone know if you can fit mudflaps to the Octy VRS tdi as i have just ordered one?.

Can you fit or adapt Skoda ones like on the Furby VRS or do you have to by from elsewhere?.

Are they easy to do and if so any advice appreciated.

Cheers.

Mine is a company car so the lease company insists on front and rear mud flaps. However, when the dealer came to fit manufacturer ones the could only fit fronts and the small pair on the front lip of the rear wheel arches. They couldn't fit the ones on the back of the rear arches because of the bespoke rear valance on the VRS.

They can be fitted.

The OE ones can be fitted with a bit of tenacity and warming the flaps so they mould to the vRS rear bumper OR

why not get a set of Custom Made (for the vRS) Rally Flaps for a group buy price of £54 delivered. They are on e-bay at £59.95 plus postage.

I ordered a set for my vRS about 10 days ago and got them last week.

So my dealer is basically lazy OR lacks the necessary skills...

My dealer was worried about the mud flaps being too low and getting caught on 'sleeping policemen'. Have you had any bother Gaff? And do you need to take off the rear wheels?

What are sleeping policemen ? I've had No probs at all, just measured them for ya the fronts are 5in above the road while the backs are 7in. Theres plenty of room.

I took the wheels off as its easier to move them into position.

Affectionate British name for humps in the road designed as 'traffic calming' measures in residential areas. They're a right pain in the a*** !

Sorry Gaff, I came over all English there. Speed humps in Mayo.

  I figured that, just wanted to make sure before looking stupid :)

Speaking of mayo, look at this rather excessive 'sleeping policemen' :) ,

That's the one - flat as a pancake!

Its flat in the middle but **** its steep either side, the pic doesn't really do it justice. Any quicker the cslowly rolling will mean bang in mk1 vRS.
