Hi,

The light came on a week or so ago, I replaced the split pipe I knew was causing the problem, I was expecting to have to have the light reset, but this morning my wife called my and said the light had just gone off on its own ???? Does this sound right ?

i've seen this with my fabia. I believe that its normal

on my older 306HDi, the engine management light used to go out after the car had completed 2 trips of over 5 miles without any other codes being logged - or something like that anyway..... In essence the car realises it is ok, and clears the fault code for you.
