OK, this fault keeps popping up. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of it.......

Doesnt give me any performance issues but its well annoying. I also get the odd cent electrics

01044 - Control Module Incorrectly Coded

35-00 - -

01598 - Drive Battery Voltage

07-10 - Signal too Low - Intermittent

Its either a faulty air mass meter, a problem with the wiring or the engine ECU.

It needs some diagnosis to find out which one.

Check MBV 003 in engine, look at fields 2 and 3.

Field 2 should be 230-310 mgs

Field 3 should be 210-350 mgs

Field 2 is nominal, 3 is actual.

Ashamed to say that i am unable to find this MBV 003 with VAG-COM. Are you able to expand so that i can get the requested info.

I will say however that this fault only trips the management light when im really booting the car, and i get no loss in power.

my readings after i cleared the fault

on ignition only

field 2-850.0 mg/str

field 3-1294.5 mg/str

egr duty 40.75%

on tickover

field 2-850

field 3-fluctuating between 431-455

egr duty 19.9%

will i need to run this test when the eml light comes on again?
