Featured Replies

i should know by saturday night weither i am going to sell or not so this is just a feeler to see if any one is intrested (i didnt put it in the for sale section because it is not actually for sale right now)

'06 fabia VRS met silver, usual fabia spec plus heated seats and cruise control

it has a green air filer the AMD remap with is switchable and can come with the car if wanted

it also come with a origin B2 speed camera detector hard wired under dash (no messy wires) and a motorway speed laser detector abouve rear view mirror.

this car has not been abused but it has not been driven like a grandma either, motorway cruising, a bit of fun now and again and 120 mile trip costs £10

18,000 miles nearly in 12 months (80%motorway miles)

the car was run in like so:

0 - 1000 miles not over 3000 rpm

1000 - 2000 miles - not over 3500 rpm

2000 - 3000 miles - not over 4000 rpm

3000 - 4000 miles - not over 4500 rpm

from then on i took the car to just before the red line maybe once a month if not less just to help blow any **** out of the engine/exhaust

the car has been loved and i am sad about her going but dont want to be in debt anymore

for the last 7000 miles shes been run on bp ultimate

serviced at 10,000 miles at furrows skoda, oeswestry

car has a dent on one alloy at the rim and one other one has a scuff from a darn curb

passangers side skirt has a 4 inch scuff but cannot been seen

two new tyres front - goodyear eagle f1's (and maybe two new ones on back, see my other thread TYRE CRISIS)

wahsed every weekend and just got into waxing so has a few layers on and is looking surperb - this car looks like new in and out

looking for about £9900

any feedback would be great

thanks

forgot to mention - i bought it with a loan from Blackhorse finance, i phones them yesterday and they said i can sell it then pay the loan off with the money i get (hire purchase i think but i AM allowed to sell to pay them, anybody intrested in the car or the loan feel free to ask)

and the car is near wrexham, north wales :)

the car was run in like so:

0 - 1000 miles not over 3000 rpm

1000 - 2000 miles - not over 3500 rpm

2000 - 3000 miles - not over 4000 rpm

3000 - 4000 miles - not over 4500 rpm

:)

saint ? i was just letting people know it has been run in properly (maybe some disagree) because most people dont run in very well and look after the car including after a long motorway drive (every weekend) i let the car idle for a few minutes just to let turbo cool a bit, which maybe i should of mentioned above ?

18000 miles isnt bad though, lowers the price a bit :)

and thanks for the good luck, hope it works ! :)

You might have problems selling with outstanding finance, Unless you request a cheque made payable to the finance company for the balance, and either cash or cheque to yourself for the difference.

Good luck selling.

Well depending on who you believe, an easy run isnt needed and can be a bad thing?

I'd also disagree with you about the turbo. Modern engines are designed so that they dont need to be idled for a certan time. Older engines maybe need turbo timers, but modern engines dont, and especially PD engines with small turbos.

Although I guess its best to ere on the side of caution?

the stealer is offering me £9000 for it so i think i will go with them due to 20000 miles service coming up soon, tax, my tyre crisis, advitising costs/inconvenience and working a lot so not much time for viewings
